The Chief Electoral Officer emphasizes that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the secrecy of voters’ ballots, with the aim of conducting fair and impartial elections.
The administrative and legislative arrangements are such that they ensure the complete secrecy of voters’ ballots, including those of people in detention and prisoners.
After receiving the ballot for their respective electoral district, voters must enter the voting booth to exercise their right to vote. This fully ensures the secrecy of their vote, as entry and every movement of those entering the polling stations will be monitored to prevent any possibility of them being influenced by any other person.
It should be noted that voters must check and ensure that the ballot paper given to them by the responsible officials is duly stamped with the official seal of the Republic in order to be considered valid.
Voters should be assured that under no circumstances can their identity be verified, nor is it possible for anyone to determine their choice after the fact.
