The ECOMMBX Basket League finals series moves to Strovolos today, Thursday (May 21, 7:30 p.m., Cytavision Sports 4 HD), with Keravnos hosting Petrolina AEK at “Kostas Papaellinas” for the fourth game of a series that has already become intense and high-stakes.
Petrolina AEK leads the series 2-1 and travels to Nicosia with its first chance to clinch the championship. With one more win, the Larnaca team will close out the series and celebrate winning the title, capitalizing on the lead it has built in the first three games.

On the other hand, Keravnos is called upon to respond in front of its home crowd. The Strovolos team has its back against the wall, but it has the clear goal of tying the series ahead of it. A win in Game 4 means a 2-2 tie and a “final showdown” in a fifth and final game in Kition, where the title will be decided in a do-or-die scenario.
In a game that could either write the epilogue of the season or keep the series going, attention to detail, control of the pace, and efficiency on crucial possessions are expected to determine the outcome. For AEK, it’s a chance to finish the job. For Keravnos, it’s the last chance to keep the series alive and force the finals into a do-or-die fifth game.
