The success of Brito’s team also had a… Cypriot touch, as Apollon’s Gary Rodrigues started the match. The 35-year-old winger played for 58 minutes before being replaced by Elio Varela, who shortly thereafter (61′) scored the final goal.
Former Omonia player Willy Semedo also saw some playing time, coming on as a substitute in the 80th minute to replace Monteiro.
