After evaluating information received from EUROPOL regarding the possession of child sexual abuse material, members of the Cybercrime Division proceeded to arrest a 35-year-old man.
Yesterday morning, members of the Cybercrime Division, the Forensic Electronics Laboratory, and the Limassol Crime Prevention Unit conducted a search pursuant to a court warrant at the 35-year-old’s residence in Limassol, where they located and seized—for further forensic examination—two cell phones, two portable storage devices, and a tablet were found and seized for further forensic analysis.
The 35-year-old was arrested pursuant to a court warrant and appeared today before the Limassol District Court, which issued an order for his detention for four days.
The Cybercrime Division is continuing its investigation.
