Omonia is poised to write yet another golden chapter in European history, as it begins its campaign in the new season in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
The “Greens” continue to cement their place in the history of Cypriot soccer, as this year marks their 49th appearance in European competitions, a record for any club on our island.
The “clover’s” presence abroad began in the 1965–66 season, and since then the Nicosia-based team has charted a long and remarkable course in UEFA competitions.
To date, it has played 195 European matches, confirming its enduring presence on the international soccer scene and its leading role among Cypriot teams.

“OMONIA will begin its European campaign this year in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. This will be the club’s 49th appearance in European competition, and it is the first Cypriot team to reach this stage.
OMONIA has been competing in European soccer tournaments since the 1965–66 season. From 1965 to the present, the “clover” has played in 195 European matches across all UEFA competitions.”
