The minister revealed on the Alpha News program that Nicosia is in an advanced stage of negotiations with the ExxonMobil-QatarEnergy consortium regarding “Block 4,” which is the northwesternmost and geopolitically most sensitive part of Cyprus’s jurisdiction.
Furthermore, he expressed optimism regarding the “Kronos” field (operated by the Eni-Total consortium), noting that the final investment decision is expected to be signed by the end of June, as only the finalization of the legal documents remains.
