A 54-year-old man was arrested this morning in Limassol and taken into custody, a 54-year-old man against whom a European arrest warrant was outstanding, issued by Greek authorities for the enforcement of a prison sentence.

The 54-year-old had been sentenced to five years in prison in Greece for fraud-related offenses committed between 2008 and 2009 in Greece.

He is expected to appear today before the Limassol District Court to begin the extradition proceedings to the requesting country.
