PAOK continues its transfer planning at a brisk pace and, following the advanced negotiations regarding Aritz Elustondo, is now turning its attention to further strengthening the center of its defense.
The deal for the Spanish center back is in its final stages, with reports from Spain indicating that only the final details remain to be worked out before his move to Toumba is finalized. PAOK has submitted a three-year contract offer with a high salary, and there is optimism that the deal will be finalized shortly.
Following the signing of Elustondo, the “black-and-whites” are now focusing on addressing the remaining needs in central defense. Pantelis Hatzidiakos remains high on the transfer list, with Copenhagen appearing willing to discuss the possibility of releasing the Greek international defender.
The 29-year-old center back remains one of PAOK’s top choices, as he possesses the qualities the “Black-and-Whites” are seeking for their new defensive line. The Thessaloniki-based club is looking to sign a total of three center backs due to the departures that have occurred.
At the same time, a new development has emerged from abroad regarding 28-year-old midfielder Kwasi Simbo. The Guinean international, who is currently playing in the World Cup with his national team and is under contract with Oviedo, is reportedly on PAOK’s transfer radar, though this specific report has not been confirmed.
