Manchester City has made the transfer of the summer in England by signing Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for an incredible fee.
According to British media reports, the transfer of the 23-year-old English midfielder will bring €134 million into the coffers of Vangelis Marinakis’s team, and with bonuses, the total could reach as high as 150 million euros!
This means the English runners-up will break their own transfer record, which stood at 117.5 million euros when they signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
The Premier League transfer record stands at 145 million euros, which Liverpool spent last year to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle.
This is also the fourth most expensive transfer of all time, behind those of Neymar from Barcelona to Paris for 222 million euros, Kylian Mbappé from Monaco to Paris for 180 million euros, and Ousmane Dembélé from Dortmund to Barcelona for 148 million euros.
