Today is a national holiday in Ecuador.

The country’s government made this decision in light of the national team’s major victory over Germany and its qualification for the next round of the World Cup.

As a result, everyone working in both the public and private sectors will not be at work today, as the government wants everyone to be able to enjoy this historic moment for the country’s soccer.
