APOEL announced in a statement the formation of a Management Committee that will take on the responsibility of establishing the “blue-and-yellows’” first women’s soccer team.
The announcement: “APOEL announces the formation of a Management Committee, which will be responsible for establishing APOEL’s first women’s soccer team.
This is a particularly ambitious plan, the first of its kind in APOEL’s history, and represents yet another significant step in the historic journey and development of another sector of the soccer department.
This effort is based on the volunteer work of people with vision, knowledge, and love for APOEL, who will work to develop a comprehensive plan for creating a competitive women’s team, with a solid foundation, organization, and vision.
The Management Committee will develop the necessary strategy and plan so that APOEL’s women’s team can grow consistently and live up to the expectations, the values and the reach represented by the blue-and-yellow crest.
According to the Committee’s Chairman, Tasos Toumasis, announcements will follow in the coming days to present the multifaceted plan for this initiative, which includes actions to develop, strengthening, and promotion of the new division. APOEL is moving forward united into a new chapter.”
