Connor Goldson is officially an Apollon player!
Hernán Lozada’s team has formalized the deal with the towering center back, completing its fifth signing of the season.
The player will wear the blue jersey for the next two years.
The 33-year-old English defender will remain a resident of Limassol, but will switch “camps” following his departure from Aris.
The announcement from the “blue-and-whites”: “Apollon Football (Public) Ltd. announces the signing of Connor Goldson through May 2028.
The English center back was born on December 18, 1992, and has extensive experience in the leagues of England, Scotland, and Cyprus, as well as many years of experience in European competitions.
He began his professional career with Shrewsbury Town, and subsequently played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Rangers, and Aris Limassol.
While playing for Rangers, he made more than 300 appearances across all competitions, winning the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish Cup, and the League Cup, and was part of the team that reached the UEFA Europa League final in 2022.
Over the past two years, he played for Aris Limassol, making a total of 62 appearances and scoring three goals across all competitions, standing out for his quality, experience, and leadership skills in the center of the defense. During the 2024–2025 season, he was named to the league’s All-Star Team.
Goldson also has extensive European experience, having made more than 80 appearances in UEFA competitions.
Statements from the player will be published shortly on our team’s official website.
