The tragic news of the death of little Charalambos in Limassol, who “passed away” just two days before his first birthday, has caused unspeakable grief.
Little Charalambos’s family and loved ones will bid him farewell today, Saturday, June 27, dressed in white, at the Church of the Archangel Michael in Limassol.
The family requests that attendees wear white; instead of wreaths, donations will be made to the “Little Heroes” and to the Church of the Archangel Michael.

The timeline of the tragedy
According to the police, the little boy began feeling unwell and developed a fever last Tuesday. On Wednesday, his parents took him to the pediatrician, where he was diagnosed with gastroenteritis and prescribed medication.
On Thursday evening, his father took the child to Limassol General Hospital, where he was unconscious.

The police were immediately notified of the tragic incident. Officers went to the hospital and performed an autopsy on the infant’s body, finding no external injuries.
At noon on Friday, medical examiner Angeliki Papetta performed an autopsy on the body of the unfortunate boy. The examination did not reveal the exact cause of death, and samples were taken for laboratory, microbiological, and genetic testing.
