Relatives of those trapped in the rubble of a building that collapsed in Caracas due to the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela yesterday, Friday, criticized the country’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, according to an Agence France-Presse (AFP) reporter.
“Enough with the political campaign in the midst of a tragedy like the one we’re experiencing,” they shouted at Delcy Rodríguez, who was visiting an affluent neighborhood in the capital near a building that collapsed on Wednesday, accusing the government of “doing nothing for the people.”

The government’s latest official report cited at least 920 dead and 3,360 injured. However, there are fears that the death toll will rise dramatically, as more than 50,000 people remain unaccounted for.
