AEK is methodically continuing its transfer planning, with Javier Ribalta working on several fronts simultaneously, aiming to finalize the necessary moves before the team departs for the main phase of preseason training.
Unlike last year’s transfer window, when several deals were handled sequentially and some did not have the desired outcome, this year the Catalan director of soccer is taking a different approach, working on multiple cases simultaneously so that AEK has more options and can avoid unpleasant developments.
At AEK, things are calm regarding transfer plans, with team officials believing that developments will pick up speed later this week. Signing players remains a top priority, with the goal of finalizing as many moves as possible before the start of preseason training on July 6.
The “Yellow-and-Blacks” are still looking for a central midfielder to partner with Orbelin Pineda and Razvan Marin, a center back intended to be a starter, and a player for the left side of the attack.
In fact, according to the latest reports, AEK’s next transfer move is expected within the next 24 hours, with Ribalta continuing his negotiations to finalize yet another significant addition to the roster for the new season.
