APOEL’s interest in Dimitris Limnios is well known, and the Greek winger has received an offer from the Nicosia-based club.

In Greece, and more specifically on the website “sport-fm.gr,” reports that the player is heading—as a free agent—to the “blue-and-yellows,” with Panathinaikos, his current club, saving half the cost of his contract.

Here is the full report: “Panathinaikos continues to strengthen its squad in impressive fashion, having made five very important signings ahead of the new season, while Jacob Nystrup is ‘building’ his team in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

Part of the plan involves thinning out the roster, with the players who have been cut looking for the next stop in their careers. Among them is Dimitris Limnios.

The Greek winger is not in Panathinaikos’ plans and is headed to APOEL! There is intense activity at Panathinaikos regarding Limnios’s transfer, with the Cypriot club ready to sign him and the Greens set to save half the cost of his contract!

Developments are expected shortly, with Limnios set to leave Panathinaikos after appearing in 30 matches, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist, while last year he played on loan at Fortuna Sittard, where he had a “full” season (36 appearances, 2 goals, 8 assists).”
