In a statement, Sint-Truiden announced that it will play a friendly match against AEK in early August.

Specifically, on the 2nd of the month, AEK will face the Belgian team as part of the “yellow-and-blacks’” main preseason training phase, though the match will be played behind closed doors, as noted in Sint-Truiden’s announcement.

Aboubakar Koïta will face his former team; the African attacking midfielder played a total of three seasons with the Belgian club.

In addition to Sint-Truiden, AEK will face De Graafschap on July 12, Zwolle on July 26, Samsunspor on the 29th of the same month, and it appears that Groningen will also be an opponent early on, though this has yet to be confirmed.
