The DISY Nicosia Municipal Group expresses its dissatisfaction and clear disagreement with the decision to feature an artist’s work in an exhibition at the Municipal Arts Center.
The artist in question is alleged to have painted the flag of the pseudo-state on the Pentadaktylos.
The following is the statement by the Deputy Mayor of Nicosia regarding the exhibition at the Municipal Arts Center:
As Deputy Mayor of Nicosia, I would like to inform you that on Friday, June 26, as soon as I became aware of the announcement by the Ecologists’ Movement, stating that an exhibition by an artist who allegedly designed the flag of the pseudo-state at Pentadaktylos was to be inaugurated at the Nicosia Municipality’s Municipal Arts Center, I immediately made my position clear that, if this information were confirmed, the exhibition in question would have to be canceled.
Unfortunately, that did not happen.
