Strikes on the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia killed two people and injured sixteen others, regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported via Telegram yesterday afternoon, and subsequently posted photos showing a building on fire and parts of the neighborhoods reduced to rubble.

In the northeastern Kharkiv region, a frequent target of Russian strikes, a missile struck the community of Zmiiv, killing one person and injuring eight others, including two children, regional governor Oleksiy Sinehubov announced last night.
Police in Kharkiv also announced that one of their officers was killed while trying to organize an emergency evacuation of residents from a community further north.
The Reuters news agency reports that it is unable to independently verify the reports and statements from the authorities of the two countries, which have been at war for over four years. Both sides deny that they deliberately target civilians.
