Panathinaikos is finalizing two more signings today as it continues to piece together its roster for the new season.

Elmin Rastoder has been in Athens since Sunday afternoon and will undergo medical exams today, while he is scheduled to sign a four-year contract this afternoon. The 24-year-old forward will travel to the Netherlands on Tuesday, accompanied by Stefanos Kotsolis, to join the team’s preseason training. In fact, since he has already begun training with Thun, he will be able to immediately follow his teammates’ training schedule.

There, he will also meet Stefan De Vrij. The veteran center back is expected in Amsterdam today to undergo medical tests and will then travel to Apeldoorn to join Jacob Nystrup’s squad. The 34-year-old former Inter Milan defender will need a few days to get back into full training, as he was on summer vacation.

Beyond that, Panathinaikos has mapped out its next moves, including the acquisition of another center back, a left back, and a midfielder, and may also seek a winger should Facundo Pellistri leave.

Finally, it should be noted that this coming Wednesday (6:00 p.m.), Panathinaikos will play its first friendly match against Helmond.
