Manchester United’s tumultuous relationship with Marcus Rashford appears to be entering a new phase.
The “Red Devils” are reported to have told the 28-year-old forward that they want to count on him for the new season, and he views this prospect positively, especially since he is under contract through 2028.
The English international forward, who is currently at the World Cup, has spent the last year and a half away from Manchester, first on loan at Aston Villa last year during the second half of the 2024–25 season and this year (2025–26) at Barcelona. The latter did not exercise the €30,000,000 option to buy him, even though he had a fairly good season with 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances.
Rashford, who came up through United’s youth system, has made 426 appearances, scoring 138 goals and providing 79 assists while wearing the club’s jersey.
