Alex Grimaldo is officially an Atlético Madrid player!

The "Roji-Blancos" announced the signing of the 30-year-old (a fullback who can also play in midfield), paying nearly 22 million euros to complete his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.

Grimaldo signed a contract running through the summer of 2030, and during this season he made 46 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists for the German club. He has also previously played for Benfica and in Barcelona’s youth teams.
