Stefanos Tsitsipas put on an outstanding performance in his Wimbledon opener and, with a 3-0 sets over Hugo Gaston, he advanced to the second round of the British Grand Slam.
There, the Greek tennis player will face Novak Djokovic, with the organizers announcing that the match will take place on Wednesday evening (July 1) after 7:30 p.m., thus closing out the day’s schedule.
In fact, Stefanos and “Nole” will compete on Wimbledon’s Center Court in one of the most highly anticipated matches of the second round.
In total, the two athletes have faced each other 14 times in the past, with the legendary Serbian tennis player holding a 12-2 lead over Tsitsipas.
Their most recent match took place in August 2024 in the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics, where Djokovic prevailed 2-0 in sets.
