The NBA announced today (July 1) that the salary cap for the 2026-27 season has been set at $164.961 million. This amount represents, in essence, a 6.5% increase compared to the previous season.

Thus, combined with the $10,420,000 increase added to each team’s cap, the minimum salary has increased by more than $9.2 million, reaching $148.465 million.
The first salary tier has increased to $209.015 million —an increase of 13,070,000 dollars—and the second pay level has increased to 221.686 million dollars. This represents an increase of $13,862,000.
It is worth noting that, according to “Spotrac.com” at least, all 30 NBA teams except the Memphis Grizzlies have exceeded the new cap.
