Fabrizio Romano revealed developments that could shake up the world of international soccer, reporting that Jürgen Klopp is ready to return to coaching.
According to the Italian journalist, Germany’s elimination by Paraguay in the World Cup round of 32 appears to have sparked new developments, with the former Liverpool manager now appearing open to the possibility of a return.
According to reports, the former Dortmund coach would view the prospect of taking over as head coach of the German national team favorably. However, the situation is in the hands of the German Football Association, as Julian Nagelsmann remains in his position and has no intention of stepping down.
Therefore, any move involving Klopp would first require the end of the federation’s collaboration with Nagelsmann, followed by the initiation of talks with the experienced coach, who appears open to the project.
It is worth noting that the young coach signed a new contract in January 2025, which will keep him on the “Manschaft” bench until after his team’s participation in Euro 2028, which will be held in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with many in the country criticizing this decision, pointing out that Nagelsmann has yet to prove himself.
It should be noted that Klopp has been away from the bench since the summer of 2024, when he left Liverpool, with Arne Slot succeeding him as head coach of the “Reds.”
