There has been a new development in the case of Marco Livaja, as the experienced forward will continue, at least for the time being, to be a member of Hajduk Split.
The 33-year-old had been sidelined from training a few days ago following a serious altercation with the team’s coach and technical director. In fact, the management of his Croatian team had initially made it clear that he would have to look for the next stop in his career.
However, the situation was resolved after Livaja’s return to Split. The former AEK striker met with the president of Hajduk, in the presence of his agent, and both sides decided to put the tension behind them and continue their collaboration.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to defuse the situation and have Livaja rejoin the team, putting an end—at least for now—to speculation about his departure.
As a result, the 33-year-old will return to training on Saturday and rejoin Hajduk’s preseason preparations ahead of the new season.
