Uproar Over Civil Service Exams: Allegations of Leaked Test Questions

PASYDY is asking EDY for an explanation
ALPHANEWSLIVE

There is unrest among candidates who took exams last week for initial appointments and promotions to grades A11 and A13. This is because the four different groups of candidates who took the exams from Monday through Thursday were given exactly the same written exam. As a result, as one of the candidates complained in a letter to PASYDY, the exam questions were leaked starting on Monday, allowing those who took the exam in the following days to know the topics in advance.

“Obviously, the candidates taking the exam in the following days are not in the same situation as those who took it first, since there was objectively the possibility of information regarding the exam’s content being transmitted and leaked. At a time when the reckless use of the internet and artificial intelligence platforms is at its peak, no written exam can be administered under these conditions.”

PASYDY sent a letter to the EDY today requesting an explanation.

“The EDY has delegated the right to a private company or an auditing firm to decide who will become directors in the civil service, senior officials, who will be promoted, etc. It is a system that, in our view, is flawed and must be changed.” Matthaios Stratis, Secretary General of PASYDY

“Silence or inaction in the face of such an issue would amount to accepting a process that raises reasonable doubts about its objectivity.”

The Secretary General of PASYDY also raises concerns about the content of the written exams.

“Exams are being administered that do not pertain to the responsibilities of the department for which you are taking the exam. They set general exams, and these exams cover various laws. If someone memorizes the laws and learns them by heart, they have a good chance of being appointed.” Matthaios Stratis, Secretary-General of PASYDY

So far, EDY has not commented on the matter; our station also requested a statement but has not received one.
