A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region. Today, the weather will be mostly clear, though there will initially be some local low cloud cover or even light fog. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly and initially locally variable, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and later locally strong and at times very strong—5 to 6 Beaufort—on the windward sides. The sea will become slightly rough and, at times, rough on the windward coasts. Temperatures will rise to 37 degrees inland, around 32 degrees on the southern and eastern coasts, 34 degrees on the northern coasts, and 30 degrees on the western coasts as well as in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, but locally along the western coast, there will be temporary increases in low cloud cover. Later on and during the early morning hours, increased low cloud cover and patchy fog or mist are expected to form locally, mainly in the eastern half of the island. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly and locally variable, light at 3 Beaufort, and initially locally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 21 degrees inland, around 22 degrees along the coast, and 18 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Saturday, the weather will be mostly clear, though in the afternoon there will be locally increased cloud cover in the mountains. On Sunday and Monday, cloud cover will gradually increase, and after noon, isolated showers or even thunderstorms are expected in the mountains and inland areas.
Temperatures on Saturday will not change significantly, remaining close to average seasonal values, while they will gradually drop slightly through Monday.
