Finance Minister Makis Keravnos expresses his deep sorrow over the loss of Nikos Siakolas, describing him as an “intelligent and resourceful entrepreneur” who made “enormous contributions” to Cyprus’s socioeconomic life.
In a written statement, Mr. Keravnos noted that he learned of the loss of Nikos Siakolas “with a sense of deep sorrow.”
Nikos Siakolas, he notes, “was an intelligent and resourceful entrepreneur who made an enormous contribution to the socioeconomic life of Cyprus.”
The Minister of Finance further states that, through “tireless hard work and foresight,” Nikos Siakolas made a decisive contribution to the country’s development, “creating opportunities and jobs,” supporting the economy, and making a substantial contribution to society through the funding of public works and charitable initiatives.
“His contributions and legacy will serve as a guiding light and point of reference for future generations,” he adds.
In closing, Mr. Keravnos expresses his sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Nikos Siakolas, as well as “to all those who walked alongside him and had the honor of knowing the visionary Nikos Siakolas.”
