The five-member independent investigative team appointed by the Council of Ministers to examine the findings of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authorityregarding the “State Mafia” case, government sources told CNA.
According to the same sources, potential locations have been identified to house the investigative team, while arrangements are underway regarding the administrative staff who will assist the team’s work and the necessary equipment.
As for the head of the investigative team, Vasileios Skouris, KYPE has been informed that the law professor has expressed his intention not to accept any remuneration for the services he will provide.
In addition to Mr. Skouris, the investigative team consists of Christos Mylonopoulos, Sotiris Liasides, Nikolas Koursaris, and Dimitris Tsolakidis.
As the government announced on Thursday, the appointment of the criminal investigators will last up to six months, with the possibility of extension, provided that a relevant written and substantiated request is submitted to the Council of Ministers.
