According to the Swedes, Zinedin Smailović should be considered an Olympiacos player!
As revealed on Saturday afternoon (07/04) by the Swedish media outlet “Expressen,” José Luis Medilibar’s team has reached an agreement with Sandefjord to sign the 22-year-old center back, for a record fee for the Norwegian club.
Specifically, as the article notes, the “Red-and-Whites” will pay 5 million euros to acquire the towering young center back, a sum that could reach as high as 6 million euros with bonuses.
In fact, barring any unforeseen circumstances that might derail the deal between the two teams, the Swedish defender is expected to board a plane soon and travel to Greece to undergo the necessary medical exams and finalize his transfer.
During his 15 months at Sandefjord, Smailović “skyrocketed” his stock on the soccer market, racking up 39 appearances for the Norwegian club with two goals and three assists across all competitions.
