A vehicle arson incident put the Fire Department and Police on alert in the early morning hours.

Specifically, around 4:30 a.m., a fire broke out in a car that was parked outside the home of its 59-year-old owner in a village in the Nicosia district.

The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department, but the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Initial investigations at the scene indicate that the fire was set maliciously.
