One of the three underage sisters from Palestine who had been missing since June 30 has been located and is in good health; the police have released their information to the public, in an effort to help locate them.

The three girls are witnesses for the prosecution in a very serious case of long-term abuse in which their father and two adult brothers are the defendants.

The minor who was finally found yesterday and is doing well is 15 years old and had gone missing on the same day as her 14- and 17-year-old sisters. However, the 15-year-old disappeared from her home in Famagusta, while her sisters disappeared from a shelter in Aglatzia.

AlphaNews.Live contacted the police press office in an attempt to learn more about this serious case, but the police were unable to provide any further information on the case, nor explain why the three sisters had been separated, with one living in a home in Famagusta and the other two in a facility in Aglatzia.

Let us recall that AlphaNews.Live brought to light the tragic story behind the disappearance of the three girls last Friday. Specifically, as we reported, a case is currently before the court in which the girls’ 46-year-old father and his two adult children, aged 23 and 21, are the defendants. The defendants, whom the court ordered to remain in custody until the trial begins, face 122 charges of serious acts of violence and abuse against the family’s three minor children in a case that has shocked the public.

Meanwhile, the police—even as the legal proceedings are ongoing—had proceeded on June 30 to release the identities of the alleged victims (three underage girls) who had gone missing, with the 15-year-old being located yesterday.

Anyone with information that may help locate them is asked to contact the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department, at 22-802222, the nearest police station, or the Citizen’s Hotline at 1460.

Regarding the criminal aspect of the case, the Cyprus Court of Appeals upheld the Attorney General’s appeals and overturned the decision of the Famagusta District Court, ultimately ordering the pretrial detention of the three family members — a father, his 23-year-old daughter, and his 21-year-old son — who face a total of 122 charges of serious offenses of violence, abuse, and mistreatment of the three minor girls.

The Court of Appeals ruled that the trial court had erred in releasing the defendants on probation, as there was a real risk: of flight, given the seriousness of the charges and the potential for lengthy prison sentences, and of witness tampering, especially since there were indications of an attempt to influence a minor complainant and, for two of the three defendants, of a likelihood of repeating similar offenses.

The Court also emphasized that, although the defendants have been living in Cyprus for 20 years as recognized refugees, are employed, and have no criminal record, these factors are not sufficient to outweigh the seriousness of the case and the risks identified.

As a result, the bail conditions and restrictive orders that had been imposed were revoked, and they were ordered to remain in custody until the trial begins on July 16, 2026, before the Permanent CriminalCriminal Court of Famagusta.

The three defendants face a total of 122 charges for serious offenses allegedly committed against the family’s children from 2013 through2026. Among other things, the charges include systematic physical and psychological abuse, child maltreatment, kidnapping, indecent assault, sexual harassment, attempted child sexual abuse, causing bodily harm, threats, joint assaults, and degrading treatment.

According to the indictment, the minors are alleged to have lived for years under appalling conditions, facing violence, food deprivation, and restrictions on their freedom.
