Electricity service was fully restored at 08:17 to customers affected by a technical failure that occurred this morning in the power generation system, according to the Cyprus Transmission System Operator (CTSO).

In a statement, the CTSO reported that the technical failure in the Generation System, which occurred at 08:05, resulted in the loss of the ESK41 Generation Unit at the Vasilikos Power Plant, which was operating at 51 MW, leading to the shedding of consumer load in various regionsof Cyprus.
