The graduation ceremony capped off a particularly successful academic year for KES College, one marked by remarkable achievements in the areas of education, research, and institutional development.
The event was addressed by the General Director of KES College, Mr. Petros Th. Stylianou, His Grace Bishop Gregory of Mesaoria, as well as the Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. Charalambos Prountzos, who attended as a guest of honor at the ceremony. In their speeches, they congratulated the graduates on their success and spoke of the timeless value of knowledge, lifelong learning, and social contribution.
This year’s graduation ceremony was particularly special, as it coincided with the 55th anniversary of KES College’s uninterrupted and substantial contribution to private higher education in Cyprus (1971–2026).
In his remarks, the College’s General Director, Mr. Petros Th. Stylianou, highlighted, among other things, the institution’s long-standing history, emphasizing that for more than five decades, KES College has consistently served the causes of knowledge, vocational training, and social contribution, having helped educate thousands of graduates who are now making their mark in Cyprus and abroad. As he aptly noted: “Today we are not merely celebrating the completion of a course of study. We are celebrating the perseverance, dedication, patience, and strength of character that our students have demonstrated to reach this important moment in their lives.”
In presenting the year-end report, he highlighted the most significant achievements of the 2025–2026 academic year, noting the significant increase in the number of students from Cyprus and abroad, the successful completion of the College’s Institutional Evaluation by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education, KES College’s membership in the Cyprus Library Consortium, as well as the accreditation of its first graduate program, the Master of Business Administration (MBA).
He also referred to the ongoing modernization of the College’s infrastructure and digital services, the significant achievements of students in the fields of Culinary Arts, Baking, and Pastry Arts, the strengthening of international collaborations and student support, as well as the dynamic research activities of the KES Research Center through the implementation of high-value-added European projects.
The evening was a double celebration, honoring both the new graduates and KES College’s long history and ongoing contribution to education, innovation, and society. During the event, diplomas were awarded to the graduates, top-performing students received awards, and the emotional moments shared by graduates, parents, and faculty marked the end of an important academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter.
Concluding his speech, the General Director of KES College urged the graduates to move forward with confidence and integrity, closing with the following words: “Believe in your potential, work diligently, and never stop learning and growing. KES College will always be your academic home and will proudly follow your progress.”
His Grace Bishop Gregory of Mesaoria congratulated the graduates on completing their academic journey, emphasizing that knowledge acquires true value when accompanied by integrity, humility, and service to others. He referred to KES College’s long-standing contribution to Cypriot higher education, describing it as a renowned and pioneering educational institution that combines academic excellence with enduring ethical and intellectual values, while congratulating the administration, the academic staff, and all those who consistently serve the College’s mission.
For his part, the Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. Charalambos Prountzos congratulated the graduates and praised KES College’s significant contribution to the long-standing advancement of higher education in Cyprus over the course of its 55 years of operation. He referred to the invaluable legacy of its founders, Theodoros and Athina Stylianou, as well as the College’s role in training scientists and professionals who contribute to the country’s social and economic development. At the same time, he emphasized that Nicosia is investing in the younger generation, calling on the graduates to make the most of their knowledge, creativity, and values to actively contribute to the progress of the capital, Cypriot society, and the local economy.
KES College warmly congratulates all its graduates and wishes them health, happiness, and every success in their new professional and personal journeys.
