Diana Konstantinidi, a member of parliament for Direct Democracy, spoke on the show “Mesimeri kai Kati” Diana Konstantinidi, a member of parliament for Direct Democracy, on the occasion of the discussion in the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights regarding gender-based and domestic violence.
As she confided to journalist Christos Michalaros, she herself is a “collateral victim” of femicide, since in 1993 two men murdered her mother. Although this heinous crime was not the result of domestic violence, as she herself clarified, she called on women victims to speak out about the trauma they are experiencing so that the executive and legislative branches can find immediate solutions to the problem.
She also made sure to thank her father and husband, who became her voice and her legs when she was unable to act on her own, as she noted.

Diana Konstantinidi is the daughter of 28-year-old Swedish national Kristin Konstantinidi, who was brutally murdered in 1993 by life-sentenced prisoner Antonis Prokopiou “Kita” and an accomplice.
The woman had mysteriously disappeared in June of that same year, along with 21-year-old Russian Oksana Lisna. The police’s efforts to locate them were fruitless, so the two women remained on record as missing persons.
In October 1993, the women’s bodies were found. Christine’s body was found in a garbage dump in Kotsiatis, and Oksana’s in a dry well in Livadia.
