Donald Trump once again expressed his dissatisfaction with NATO during his meeting with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Mark Rutte, while also directing his criticism at Spain.
At the same time, he stated that “the U.S. spends so much money to protect these countries from Russia,” but gets nothing in return.
“They haven’t treated us fairly,” and “we’re paying disproportionately” more.
“I am very dissatisfied with NATO. We are paying far, far too much,” he said.
“Spain is a terrible partner”
At the same time, he described Spain as a “terrible partner” and called on Europeans to “cut off all trade with Spain.”
Referring to Spain, he said he “wants nothing to do with it” and asked his European partners to “cut off all trade relations with Spain.”
“Spain is a terrible partner in NATO. They don’t participate, they don’t pay—I want nothing to do with Spain. Cut off all trade relations with Spain. We want nothing from them,” he said, among other things.
