A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region, while unstable weather conditions will continue to affect the island through tomorrow.
Today, after the local low-level cloud cover and light fog clear, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly sunny with occasional increased cloud cover. However, starting around noon, clouds developing in the mountains and inland areas are expected to bring isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hail cannot be ruled out during thunderstorms. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and will gradually become moderate to strong along the coast, with occasional strong gusts, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, and at times slightly rough in the west and southwest. Temperatures will reach around 36 degrees inland, around 30 on the western coast, around 33 on the rest of the coast, and around 24 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, though there will be occasional patches of low cloud cover in some areas, mainly along the coast. Later on and during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form locally, particularly in areas to the south, east, and inland. Winds will gradually become light, blowing at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, although it will remain slightly rough locally in the west. Temperatures will drop to around 22 degrees in the interior, around 23 on the coast, and around 17 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Friday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover, while from midday onward, clouds developing in the mountains and possibly inland are expected to bring isolated showers, and isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.
On Saturday and Sunday, the weather will be generally mostly clear.
Temperatures on Friday are not expected to change significantly, remaining close to normal levels for this time of year. A slight rise in temperature is expected on Saturday.
