Aris has put an important administrative issue behind it and is now focusing exclusively on strengthening the roster ahead of the new season.
The issue with the UEFA bans is now a thing of the past, as the second ban imposed on the club has also been lifted. At the same time, all necessary procedures for renewing Yiannis Gianniotas’s contract have been completed, and the financial issue regarding the transfer of Matar Tiam has also been resolved. With these issues now resolved, Aris is focusing exclusively on strengthening its roster.
The transfer window, however, is expected to be a lengthy one. The “yellow-and-blacks” are in the process of scouting players for several positions, as Michalis Grigoriou is looking for significant reinforcements so the team can take on the shape he desires before the start of official competition.
There are still many needs to be filled, with Aris looking for two center backs, two fullbacks, a right back, a goalkeeper, a winger, and a forward. The plan is to proceed cautiously in order to sign players who can make an immediate impact.
In the “yellow-and-black” camp, there is optimism that once the administrative issues are finally resolved, transfer activity will pick up speed.
