Following reports that Panathinaikos has Ricardo Mangas high on its list for the left-back position, “A Bola” is sharing its own information. It notes that the player is clearly on the club’s radar, specifically stating that he has one foot out the door at Sporting Lisbon.
“A Bola understands that Panathinaikos has a strong interest in the Portuguese left back following difficulties in securing another target, Danish player Viktor Christiansen from Leicester. Very soon—perhaps as early as Thursday—it will send an official offer to Sporting,” the publication reports.
The Portuguese left back for Sporting Lisbon is under contract through 2029, and his market value stands at two million euros; however, Panathinaikos has not yet submitted an offer to the “Lions of Lisbon.” That said, it’s not out of the question that this could happen soon.
Last year, Mangas made 25 appearances for Sporting, scoring two goals and providing two assists. In general, the 28-year-old star likes to play high up the field and contribute to his teams’ attacking play, in addition to his defensive duties.
