The “truly unjustified delay” in filing criminal charges against the individuals who ran toward the Larnaca Police Headquarters wielding axes and other offensive weapons, causing property damage and seriousinjury to a person who was already on the ground, in a letter addressed to the President of the Republic and the Minister of Justice.
As he notes, despite the fact that six months have passed since the day of the incidents and “despite the fact that the police know who they are—having taken statements from them and immediately filed a criminal case against the individual who was attacked and was also the only person to sufferserious bodily injury and was the victim of these incidents, no explanation has been provided to justify this delay,” it states.
