Passengers on a flight from Thessaloniki’s “Macedonia” Airport to Munich experienced a scare in the air on Friday morning.
As a passenger on the flight reported to rthess.gr, a loud noise was heard during the flight and one of the plane’s windows shattered.
According to the report, this caused the cabin to depressurize, passengers held onto a 61-year-old Serbian man who was sitting next to the broken window and was being pulled by the wind, while at the same time the oxygen masks dropped.
According to the report, the pilot changed course and returned the aircraft to “Macedonia” Airport.
According to reports, the foreign passenger sitting next to the broken window was picked up by an EKAV ambulance and transported to “AHEPA” Hospital with a neck injury.
Reports indicate that a pregnant woman from the same flight was also taken to the Hippocrates Hospital in Thessaloniki, where she underwent an ultrasound and was discharged after nothing of concern was found.
