PAOK’s interest in Taha Ali was confirmed by the most… authoritative source. The 28-year-old winger returned to Malmö after playing in the World Cup and was asked about the Thessaloniki club.
“I can confirm that, yes. There are other interested parties as well, but that’s not something I can comment on,” said the 28-year-old winger.
When asked if Sunday’s match against Gothenburg would be his last with Malmö (with whom he has a contract through December), he replied: “It doesn’t feel that way because nothing is clear. Right now, I can only focus on what I’m doing here and now.”
As for whether he’ll play—and for how many minutes—he said: “I don’t think it’s realistic, given how the trip went and everything, for me to play the entire match. The coach is the one who makes that decision,” he noted.
Taha Ali, who played for Sweden at the World Cup—appearing for 11 minutes against the Netherlands in the group stage and another 24 against France in the Round of 32— has 20 goals and 19 assists in 132 appearances for Malmö.
