Mo Salah, who will now consider all possible options for the next stage of his club career—since his time at Liverpool is over— wants to be in top form ahead of the 2030 World Cup.
The “Pharaoh” received a hero’s welcome in Cairo upon the national team’s return to its base after reaching the round of 16 at this year’s World Cup, and immediately set his next goal.
In a message on social media, he stated:
“Rest assured that I will do everything in my power to usher in a new era for Egyptian soccer at the national level. From now on, it won’t be enough for us to simply get through the qualifiers or just participate in the World Cup. This team deserves everyone’s support…”.
I know you’re still upset, but I promise I’ll do everything in my power to ensure this is a new beginning for Egyptian soccer on the international stage. Qualifying for the World Cup won’t be enough, and just participating won’t be enough either. This team deserves your trust pic.twitter.com/Jrsp3YOjk7
