According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture in response to AKEL, there is a plan in place for the Pentakomo Agricultural Development Area (OEDA), and a specific timeline is currently being implemented. It also notes that “the Government does not invest in slogans and impressions.”
“There is a plan for the Pentakomo OEDA, there is a specific timeline, and its implementation is already underway. By 2027, a new contractor will take over the Unit and proceed with the necessary infrastructure to substantially upgrade and modernize it,” the Ministry states.
“The government has never hidden the problems it inherited. It has provided transparent information on the Unit’s actual condition, restored its operations, and is moving forward with the next steps based on technical documentation, systematic work, and the expertise of specialized consultants, such as JASPERS,” he emphasized.

“Those who demand solutions overnight either ignore the nature of complex infrastructure projects or consciously choose the easy path of political confrontation,” notes the Ministry of Agriculture, adding that “responsible waste management requires expertise, serious study, proper planning, and sustainable solutions.”
“The government does not invest in slogans and impressions. It is moving forward with a plan, consistency, and on schedule, guided by the protection of the environment, public health, and the interests of citizens,” the statement concludes.
