Aris wrapped up its first preseason camp in Latvia with a 1-0 victory over JDFA Alberts.
The Limassol team was the better side throughout the match, and despite the narrow margin, created and missed several chances to extend its lead.
The only goal of the match came when Efaghe set up Gaustad, who beat the Latvian goalkeeper.
In the first half, Artyom Ratskov fielded his team with Zandro, Sané, Matisik, Lele, César, Panagiotou (35’ Galiata), Akaba, El Alaci, Gaustad, Paze, and Efaghe.
Aris started the second half with nine new players, as the team’s coach sent Pisiia, Dimitriou, Lukumbar, Correia, Triminti, Kassianidis, Pourikko, Neokleous, and Hatzigiannis, with Galiata and Akaba continuing from the first half, the latter being replaced by Theodosiou in the 66th minute.
Despite the many substitutions in the second half, Aris remained aggressive and demanding, though they once again missed at least 3–4 very good chances to score more goals.
Defensively, with the exception of a free kick that hit the crossbar in the second half, they were never really threatened. Vana Alves, Charalambous, Yago, Nikolić, and Ofsianikov were left out of the squad for this match.
The players have now been given a three-day break, and on Wednesday they will begin their second preseason training camp in Poland.
