These latest violent incidents come as Hamas leaders are visiting Cairo for further talks on the implementation of the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.
The talks include the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, according to sources close to the talks, who added, however, that no substantial progress has been made yet.
