A person was located and questioned by the police in connection with the threatening messages that spread panic in various parts of Cyprus, including shopping centers.
According to the police, a suspect was located and questioned—though the police did not proceed to arrest him—and he made certain claims, which are currently being investigated.
It should be noted that the sender of the message claimed his name was “David” and even provided the number of his alleged cell phone. The content of the message was quite difficult to understand.

The threatening messages, which mentioned the presence of an explosive device and put the police and bomb squads on high alert on Saturday, were sent to shopping centers in Nicosia, to KEMA, to another shopping center in Paphos, and to other locations across Cyprus.
Investigations by the authorities at these locations did not uncover anything suspicious.
The investigations are ongoing.
