The EuroLeague’s top defender for the 2025–26 season will continue his career in the magical world of the NBA!
According to a report by well-known and respected ESPN reporter Shams Charania, Alfa Diallo has reached a final agreement with the Denver Nuggets on a one-year guaranteed contract, which will pay him $1.4 million!
After five eventful years in Europe’s top league with Monaco, the 29-year-old American forward has decided to take a major step in his career and try his luck for the first time on the other side of the Atlantic, now playing alongside Nikola Jokić!
His exceptional defensive skills, combined with his athleticism, “convinced” the “Svolos” to offer him a spot on next season’s roster and include him in their lineup as they strive once again this year to go all the way and win the championship.
During the season that just ended, Diallo made a total of 42 appearances in Europe’s top league, averaging 11.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 steals on average in nearly 28 minutes per game.
It should be noted that the former Lavrio player had reached an agreement with Dubai BC on a multi-year contract, which, however, included an NBA opt-out clause valid until the 15th of the month, with the Nuggets ultimately exercising that clause earlier than expected.
