The Meteorological Service is forecasting the first 40s of the summer for the coming days, and a Yellow Alert has already been issued for today, through 5:00 p.m.
Meteorologist Michalis Mouskos stated on the Alpha News program that this is the second Yellow Alert issued by the Meteorological Service in recent days. He explained that June and the first few days of July saw very mild temperatures, while the mercury is at levels similar to previous years. In fact, he estimates that we are not expected to experience extreme temperatures or a prolonged heat wave in the coming days.
According to Mr. Mouskos, humidity levels will remain normal. That is, they will be slightly higher along the coast, “but so far, they have not deviated from the data of previous years.”
